Initial Listen- Jazz Morley- Disconnected

The mood conveyed in the video is a sad mood, as it is slow and simple with a soulful rich tone to it. She sings with passion and meaning which helps you understand she has a special connection with the song. You can also detect heartbreak in her voice as if she’s experienced great loss and/or is missing someone very close to her.
I felt that the song sounded very similar to four songs I know. The first one is by Adele called Make You Feel My Love. Both songs have similar piano intros to one another and have that same soulful rich tone to them. The second song is by Sarah McLachlan and is called Angel. These two songs also have that similar piano intro and quite similar choruses to them as well as the same tone. The third song is by Charlene Soraia and is called Wherever You Will Go. This song also has the similar piano background music and the same meaningful, rich and soulful tone. And finally the fourth song is by Ellie Goulding and called Your Song which has the same similarities as the other songs. Overall all four songs have very similar elements to them.
I would say that the genre of the music video is a mixture of acoustic/soul/indie as it has elements to it that link in with those genres of music.
