Disonnected- Brief

The video would first start off seeing Jazz Morley walk out of her house walking her dog. We would see her with a letter in her hand and put it in her pocket. This would be a tracking shot where the camera will be in front of her being pulled backwards and she will be walking towards the camera.

After she's walked out her front door and down the street, she will turn off down a footpath surrounded by woodland. It'll be autumn so it'll be quite cold and all the leaves would have changed to red and orange colours.

As she is walking down the footpath the leaves will be falling slowly around her and two small leaves will land in front of her feet. This will be a high angle tilting shot that'll be facing Jazz Morley and will first be looking up at the trees and will see the two leaves together, and then it'll tilt down and follow them as they fall to the floor infront of Jazz's feet.

The two leaves will probably be created in post-production as it'll be quite hard to wait for two leaves to drop together and land directly infront of Jazz Morley.
This'll then go to a close-up on Jazz Morley singing whilst slightly welling up. The camera will then look down to her dog who is looking up at her and strokes her leg with his paw. The camera will then do a low angle close up of Jazz Morley's face looking down at her dog giving a slight smile and then proceeding on with her walk.

She will carry on walking down the woodland footpath and see a stream running along the side. She will approach the stream with her dog. A duck will paddle past and then two baby ducks will appear paddling next to each other. The camera will be looking down into the stream and watch the ducks go past. It'll the cut to the dog wagging his tail, watching them swim past. And then cut to Jazz singing whilst watching the ducks.

The camera will the be positioned behind Jazz and her dog and will be an extreme long shot of her and her dog walking away from the stream and carrying on down the footpath. She will come to the end of the footpath and out onto a park with a playground in it. The camera will be to the side of her and show a long shot of her and the dog walking to a bench. It'll then cut to a long shot facing her sat on the bench letting her dog off the lead and run off. The camera will then cut to behind her and be an over the shoulder shot focusing on her dog running around the park playing with other dogs.

The camera will then cut to be facing her looking over at something. Then it'll cut to the playground and focus on a small girl who has fallen over and scraped her knee and is now crying. A slightly older boy will come running over to her and clean up her knee. He will then help her up and give her a hug and take her over to the swings and start pushing her on one.
The camera will then go back to Morley and be positioned over her shoulder and see her pull out the letter from her pocket. She'll open it up and look over it. It'll be a a few lines simply saying "I know you don't want me to go, but I have to fight this war for our country, I will miss you with all my heart. I love you sis and will be back soon". Tears will then drop onto the page and the camera will cut to a mid-shot facing Jazz Morley.

Her dog will come up to her and lick her hand. She'll put him on his lead and get up and leave. The camera will then cut to the footpath and will be an extreme long shot of Jazz and her dog walking down it, still with the falling leaves surrounding them. The camera will then tilt down and see the two leaves on the floor next to eachother and then fade to black.

  1. this is an excellent brief india which compliments your very well thought through storyboards. These are both to distinction level.
However you are missing your production schedule and equipment list meaning this is a merit for the time being.
